APEDA Registration is mandatory registration issued by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), a statutory body under the APEDA Act 1985. Every exporter of agricultural and processed food products listed in the Schedule to the Act must obtain this registration before commencing exports.
APEDA promotes and regulates 14 scheduled product groups — fruits and vegetables, meat, dairy, cereals, floriculture, honey, cocoa, beverages, groundnuts, pickles, guar gum, herbal and medicinal plants, and more. Registration unlocks financial assistance, TraceNet, quality standards support and trade promotion. It is separate from IEC; you need both.
